As we venture into the 21st Century learning color brings more in-depth teaching and learning for the students. The product I’m requesting will give my students the ability to have access to more enhanced projects and will inspire them to become more creative with their work. It will give me the ability to provide them with immediate results. The students should be able to see their work come to life rather than live in the black and white world. Everyone has an imagination. How wonderful would it be too have that imagination come to life through color? This is the perfect time for the use of this equipment as we are entering our poetry unit. I’m always looking for new creative ways to enhance student learning and this would provide them with the opportunity to do that. Not only will this help my students brighten their world, it would bring light and energy to my teaching and strengthen my goals and concepts I need for the students to not only learn but retain the information they are learning. Just a couple of examples would be to use colorful price tags to present them with a store full of discounts for goods they may want to purchase by using percentages and discounts in our math unit. Another way would be to bring the outside in when teaching the ecosystem and being able to see the actual color of the food or an animal to my students so they can get a good visual of what is actually occurring. Having assessment results in color is a great enhancement when trying to explain the assessments to the parents so they can understand and actually read the different colored key charts on them. Students can retain information better when it is presented in color.
