It will create a more inviting and welcoming space for students, as well as help them have tools to deal with the challenges they are facing currently. Many students deal with anxiety and big emotions they need help dealing with and understanding. Additionally, we see struggles in learning, and socializing with their peers. I would be able to assist them in becoming more resilient; coping with challenges at school and at home. Having a table in my office students will be able to participate in groups with other students. Students will have room to bring both parents in and sit comfortably as we discuss student. Students will be able to use figurines, workbooks, etc to process through hard emotions. Games assist in helping students create relationships with their peers in a group setting. The goal is to be able to meet the needs of every student that comes into my office. These materials will help me to do that.
