These ukuleles will be kept at school and used during "Passion Time" each week. This "Passion Time" lasts for 45 minutes and the students will be both receiving instruction and given the time to practice. The ukulele's I chose come with instructional material for each student so they will each have that resource to refer to. Students will be in age group rotations so as to receive appropriately leveled instruction. The students will not be able to learn the musical skills of reading music and hand positioning without having the necessary instruments in their hands. The ukulele is an inexpensive and fun way to introduce music to young minds and can end up being a lifelong skill to enjoy themselves and share with others.
