I believe that Jody Britten, a senior associate at the Metiri Group put my thoughts into words best when she said, "Active-learning technology allows [students] to move from consuming information to creating and thinking on a deeper level." I believe that giving students access to a 3D printer will truly transform their lives and bring the excitement and joy of learning back to full life. The Flashforge 3D printer will help reduce the learning gap of my students by giving them tangible scientific models, and unique rewards for academic achievement. 3D printing in my school can help transform my students from being passive consumers to active creators. In addition, having access to 3D printing technology at the classroom level allows more students to adopt a practical hands-on approach. After consulting with multiple teachers in my school, we believe that having a 3D printer would easily help strengthen the transition back to more rigorous academics.
