The classroom theme is based on Social Emotional Learning. At times, some students are not able to verbally express how they are feeling. In our instance, we use emojis. Emojis come with many different types of expressions and students can identify with the facial expressions on an emoji. They are learning new words with shades of meaning. For example, three different emoji expressions have taught my students the difference in the degree of being shy, nervous, or anxious. This project will be used to enhance academic language/vocabulary in the classroom. Thanks!
