Games will allow students to remain engaged while targeting individualized goals (articulation, language, AAC, pragmatics) and create meaningful relationships with peers! Games provide opportunities for students to work on turn taking, sharing, and sportsmanship. All students can practice critical thinking, problem solving, and social skills. Games allow students to grow language and social skills in an authentic and genuinely fun way! Simple board games in combination with language and/or articulation cards can also be used to help students target a myriad of other goals, while having fun. Creating a fun and interactive environment in which students are excited to come and practice their speech and language goals is the overall goal of the project. Having a variety of games that can be used with students in PreK to 7th grade can keep therapy interactive, fresh, and fun, motivating students to participate and work toward their speech and language goals
