In my marine biology class we dissections different animals. The students have to learn specific anatomy and physiology of each marine animal. In order to help them learn the need to trace the external and internal view of the animal. They then use this tracing to help them dissect. They also get to draw out specific parts of the animal on the lab tables, which reinforces their learning. I use the chalk markers in all of my other classes as well. They will write directly on the desk, which brings up engagement and interest in their learning.
