These materials will have a huge impact on my students' learning! We work on interactive notebooks for both English language arts and for social studies (ancient civilizations). Color and creativity allow students to engage with the content they are learning. They can use the color to organize and classify information. For each new civilization in social studies, we always begin with a map. Color allows students to create keys to identify various geographic features. These materials will be used for hands-on, tangible learning activities to enrich the educational experiences of sixth-grade students.
