Our classroom is filled with a myriad of books for the children to read! The titles include series and subjects that span several genres. However, many times in the second grade, a child's reading ability rockets to new levels and it's difficult to find reading material that is both challenging and age-appropriate. Nonfiction books are often written at a more rigorous level and include topics that the younger children can relate to and enjoy. These science-themed books will complement our new science curriculum, as well as allow the children to read a book that is both challenging and relevant while learning about the world beyond our community.
