The class set of doodle boards will be used daily in my classroom, especially in math and small group phonics/spelling lessons. In math, we will use them in a whole group setting as a means for students to write out problems and give everyone the opportunity to have plenty of think and response time. Essentially, a classroom set of doodle boards will help to keep the entire class participating and engaged by providing hands-on participation for all. In small group phonics/spelling we will use our doodle boards to write sentences and practice writing words that follow the sound-spelling patterns we are discussing in class. The books I've requested will continue to enhance the print-rich classroom that I strive to create, as well as add to lessons within our science and literature curriculum.
