These materials will teach students the skills they'll need in order to get jobs on farms, in nurseries, garden centers at local stores, and to grow healthy sustainable foods for themselves in the future. These materials will create new employment options which have not been accessible for our students in the past in a variety of settings and a large number of varied future employers. This project will teach skills our students can use to broaden their vocational future. In the past our students have been limited to our can recycling program in order to learn vocational skills. With the creation of an Agricultural Science/Gardening program, a whole new group of employment options have opened up for our students. Covid and funding limitations have made starting up a new program challenging, but these materials will allow us to grow our program and teach more students a different set of employment skills to broaden their futures.
