The resources requested in this project will help my bilingual students to reach their potential in Mathematics, Portuguese, Science and also in their emotional and social sphere. By reading, exploring, playing and having fun, our students learn, grow, share and become better human beings. The Math manipulative games will help my students transform concrete thinking into abstract thinking, which will be used in our Math lessons, Math calendar time, interventions and brain break. It is notable how the class interact and show better learning progress when practical activities are planned with hands on activities. Portuguese language books will give them an authentic contact with the literacy and culture of Portuguese speakers around the world. There will be greater effort in the ability to analyze texts, make inferences and the use of other reading and comprehension strategies. Professional development books will be the foundation for me, as a teacher, to plan and put into practice lessons that bring them enthusiasm, hope and critical thinking, especially to my 2nd grade students who have not yet had a regular year in result of COVID-19.
