With the manipulatives I am going to be able to give the students a lot of hands on practice. When COVID sent most of us to an at home situation students were forced to do their schooling online. That is not the ideal situation for young children they need the opportunity to be able to develop their fine motor skills and interact with things physically, not just on a screen. In my classroom we try to incorporate things that are hands on with technology. So the young students can have access to instructions as well as videos they need headphones. First graders are not careful or kind to their headphones and I hope that by getting a nice set it will help them to last longer and give them the access they need.
