These book kits were created by the University of Utah and touch on a variety of topics including grief/loss, anxiety, sadness and identity. I have seen an increase of students who are more anxious or feel sadness on a deeper level during this pandemic. These children's books will be used as a tool to help students understand themselves and navigate their feelings. The stress balls will be given to each 6th grader, so not only are they learning about tools to manage stress but they will receive something tangible to go with it.

About my class
