Students I work with already struggle with reading, Covid-19, and being away from school, did NOT help them increase their reading levels. I would argue they remained stagnant even though they moved up grades. Having a classroom library is just one step I can take to help them find a love a reading. Often when they go to our school library they only see books that are above their level, or don't want to be seen with books below their classmate's level. Now is a chance to help them with their own classroom library.
