Reading offers so many ways to inspire. Books are good company, in sad times and happy times, for books are people – people who have managed to stay alive by hiding between the covers of a book. EB White By adding books to our classroom library it will continue to enhance the print-rich environment that I am striving to create. It will open doors into the lives of kids who have faced challenges socially, personally, and emotionally. All of these books have been chosen with my students in mind. I have watched them relate to characters in the books with similar backgrounds with frailties like themselves rise above situations they face by making mistakes and resolving them. The second part of this would be the addition of non-fiction books that go with the fictional books from above. Books about the countries and regions where the characters live. The Legos are to help support the story as props.
