The silhouette, and supplies will be use to create schedules and behavior charts to help my students manage their behavior in a positive way and create a beautiful bulletin board for them to display their work on. I have many students who come from difficult homes where many of their basic needs are not being met. This device would enable me to create items that would help them to self regulate and have a positive learning experience while in my classroom. The mini stamp printer would be used to create stamps with words of encouragement and positive feedback for work well done. The book sets will be used to build a literacy center and give students access to a larger library and different genres to choose from. In third grade we are reading to learn and the books that were chosen will give the students an opportunity to learn about life long ago, and make connections to different characters. There is also a fiction book that takes the kids on a magical adventure where they will have the opportunity to write about what they would do if they were in the situation that the main character is in. It teaches them how to develop friendships with unlikely people, and how to handle situations that seem unfair. These are valuable life lessons for students to learn. The noise cancelling headphones will be used for students who are easily distracted that suffer from over stimulation and that need a quiet place where they can concentrate. They can be used during assemblies or class activities where the noise level rises.
