Having large class sizes, we do a lot of our learning in small groups. Many times, groups will be working at different paces or on different topics. Having an iPad will allow more personalized instruction for each group. I will be able to use and share resources targeted specifically to their needs. Having an iPad will allow me to be more mobile in the classroom, moving from group to group or student to student with ease. The iPad will also be used to track student progress, translate for ESL students, as a learning tool to play videos during the reteach group, as well as provide a second delivery of instruction on sites such as Quizlet, Blooket, Flocabulary, Kahoot, etc. Writing is also a huge component in our classroom. Being able to type and model the work I expect from my students will be made possible with the magic keyboard. Showing them how to operate and efficiently utilize the keyboard as a tool is a life skill they will need. By enhancing our small group and one-on-one learning experiences, we will help the students excel in the English Language Arts classroom.
