The students I work with have a history of trauma, emotional struggles, and behavioral difficulties that have only been heightened by the pandemic. School closures, online learning, and teacher absences only increase emotional outbursts. My students will use the supplies like Lego and books to create a safe atmosphere in the classroom. Children do better when they have a structured learning environment that supports their individual educational goals on their IEPs. Resources get stretched thin and this grant will resupply the room. Thank you for considering my class and their needs.
