My classroom library is a place that my students really enjoy reading in! Every book that is placed in my library is chosen specifically with my students in mind. The books are proven to be well read and enjoyed by students at the same readling levels as my students. I have also asked my students what kind of books they would like to read and have included those book titles in my choice. Students will be able to choose books that interest them which will help them continue to enjoy independent reading time. The best way to increase reading ability is to read more, and these books will continue to help my students grow stronger in reading. Reading these books will also help my students fill in many of the phonemic and phonic gaps that are evident in my students' academic learning due to COVID-19. I hope through reading they can momentarily live in the book they are reading and recognize how fun reading can be!
