My students with special needs are great participants in their reading intervention groups. My curious students are always searching my bookshelves for more books to read on their levels. A gift of books from you will allow my students to take home books chosen just for them on a level they can read. Word games allow them to review and learn words with their families in a fun way. Taking books home on their reading levels will allow the students to involve their families by sharing their reading skills which can help build their self-confidence, which will ultimately increase their reading achievement levels. My students work hard to learn new reading skills. They are so sweet and encouraging to each other when they are practicing their reading skills independently. My students are also earning "tiger stripes" as a visual for them to see their reading progress. These tiger stripes will reward them with a dance party with our high school's mascot. My students will be Grooving with Grover! Books just for them will be an amazing addition to this adventure they are on: the adventure of reading and growing!
