I am excited to utilize the musical staff whiteboards and dry erase markers to help students demonstrate their understanding in real time so that I can give them more feedback in class as we introduce new concepts. I will use the metronomes and tuners to help students develop independence in learning how to practice more effectively. They will learn how to tune their own instruments allowing more time for instruction and working on repertoire. The headphones will be used to allow students to practice on their own and in sectionals with a metronome that they can hear over their playing through headphones allowing for more focused practice. The pencils will be on hand for students to utilize in marking their music with reminders of things we discuss in rehearsal and the pencil boxes help with the organization of these pencils for various classes and help class to run more smoothly so that we can focus time on learning. The students will develop understanding of conducting patterns as they learn to watch the conductor's baton and respond to it.
