Our school and our students are resilient, creative, resourceful, and hard-working -- we can make do with less. However, when an opportunity comes along to make classroom life better and increase the odds of long-term growth for the kids, logic would dictate that we take it! These supplies will help our students in a variety of ways. The headphones will be very useful as we practice and take the RISE tests throughout the year. Then there are other various websites that some of the kids use to help with their progress in learning to read better. I am so excited to toss the cheap earbuds from the dollar store! The pencil sharpener will help our classroom run smoother (again, I am glad to get rid of the cheap one). There are a couple of special friends who will benefit greatly from wobble chairs since they have a hard time sitting still. And, the science kits and whiteboards will significantly help increase engagement as we go through the core SEED standards each year. We are grateful for the hard work of those at the state level who have secured this additional funding and found a creative way to get these supplies into the schools. Thank you!
