This project will help bring more engaging activities into my class, in turn giving students some unique learning experiences that were previously not imaginable. The pandemic has created a dynamic that has made student engagement difficult. Because I teach a rock and roll history class, I've tried to find interesting ways to bring in the history of that topic. The record player and guitar distortion pedals will allow me to give more of a hands-on approach to conveying certain topics, such as the culture of listening to records and the manipulation of sounds in music. Teachers have been trying to heighten engagement within our classes and we need as many resources as possible to achieve this goal. When unique learning activities are available, students break out of their "Covid-Era engagement" and pique their interest. Students need these types of experiences to increase the learning efficacy of our school system.
