The books will be used at school and at home, if needed to hep students learn more about the 40 developmental assets. Students will read the books individually or with a partner and then determine which assets are related to the story. Then they will give examples of which characters had or didn't have the asset and give an example. Students will also come up with the morale or message of the book. After students have completed the project they will share their examples with the class. Students will also have the opportunity to read the books for pleasure, which is one of the 40 developmental assets.
