The Utah State Core states: "Geographically informed students can better participate in their communities and the world in a responsible, informed, and civically minded way. The skills and habits of mind that students develop as they study the world through geography [and history] will nurture their sense of citizenry, as well as civic and global awareness." The study of World History and Geography helps students to gain a new perspective about the world around them and who they are as individuals. These atlases and globe will help my students to interpret, understand, and explore our world by learning basic mapping skills and by studying the physical, cultural, and political aspects of our dynamic world.
