Each student will "borrow" a book to read in school and at home. It will be broken up into sections for them to read each week. At the end of the week, we will discuss what the students have read and they will take a quiz on the information for each section. The unit will culminate in a project based assessment. They will do a one-pager project, showing what they have learned through written word and illustration. The chapters in the book are told from different characters perspectives. It will be interesting to discuss these perspectives with the students and what motivates the characters to make the choices they do.
