The novels I have chosen will allow students to explore varied literature from multiple perspectives, giving students a base knowledge of a few classic stories and characters in literature like Beowulf, The Great Gatsby, Fahrenheit 451, The Fall of the House of Usher; as well as giving them access to new voices they may not have explored or heard of before. We will look at these novels in new and relevant ways, so students can connect the ideas and themes presented in them to their own lives. This will help them grow into more developed and thoughtful readers and thinkers.
