The materials I have selected will help my class with their knowledge development because I chose more hands-on materials. Due to COVID-19, my students have had to work from home and, unfortunately, some of them do not have the materials we do in class, so they were not able to do hands-on work. However, now that they are back, materials like the peg boards will help them learn number recognition, which is something that we are constantly working on in our curriculum. Also, with items like the connect tools they will be able to work on their fine motor development, which they are working on strengthening at their age. I also selected items for music play, I believe that my students will learn how to better understand their emotions through music. Some of my children are nonverbal and so they cannot always explain to me or their peers how they feel. However, they can bang on a drum or yell in a microphone and I'll know that they are mad. Or they can play a song and sing, I'll know they are feeling happy.
