Having headphones, keyboards, and charging stations in the classroom will greatly affect my students' academic learning. Almost every lesson is posted to Canvas with instructions and occasional videos. Students also work independently in Reading Plus, which is an online reading program that is adaptive and individualized for each student. Many students do not have personal earbuds or headphones, so being able to hear these lessons can become a problem. Since I am an English teacher, having keyboards available that will connect with their iPads will give students the opportunity to type their papers in a more efficient way. Having access to charging stations would also improve student efficiency, since they will allow students longer access to their iPads. Most days, the iPads are low on battery by 4th or 5th hour, which impedes the progress of the students.
