Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) resources are a vital part of today's classrooms in America. Unfortunately, this classroom has absolutely zero resources available for students to refer to, use, or help to calm them down when they suffer from anxiety or just having a bad day. Having SEL resources on hand in the classroom can help turn around a child's situation in a mere matter of minutes if they are available to them. For example, an hourglass timer can be used by a student to know how long they need to take a time out and gather themselves before returning to the task at hand. The materials and resources chosen will be a tremendous asset to these students and the future students that will experience 5th grade in this specific classroom. I can think of no better way than this grant money can be used by so many students for such a worthy and necessary cause. Thank you for your consideration and donation if we are so lucky to receive the funds to help pay for these resources.
