As we all know these last few years have been hard on all of us as far as our social and emotional needs. This is especially true of students that already had diagnosis of Social/emotional disabilities. These books, workbooks, games and tools will help me as a school psychologist to help these students learn to gain the abilities that they lack to access their curriculum with their general education peers. Younger students have a hard time putting their thoughts and feelings into words these items will help them to do that in a fun and playful way. Kids have a natural desire to learn through play and games and the more fun we can make learning about their emotions and thoughts the better they will be able to access their curriculum without problem behaviors. The students I work with experience behavior difficulties such as Aggression or withdrawal, hyperactivity or being lethargic and disconnected. These wide ranges of emotions and behaviors can be difficult to address but these books and tools will make this complex ideas more accessible to young minds.
