Many of my students express their desire to have their own job in order to gain a sense of independence and financial freedom. In order for my special education students to be successful, they need to learn life skills such as budgeting, opening a checking account and financial literacy to best help them to obtain a job and live independently. I want to utilize these workbooks and content to allow student to have their own mock bank accounts where they will deposit paystubs, pay bills and budget in order to account for expenses such as food and entertainment. This content will benefit over 35 students each year who are seeking more independence.
