Our students here at MCMS have taken a huge hit with the COVID 19 virus. Anxiety and depression, as well as a myriad of other issues, are rampant in our schools across the Salt Lake Valley. As school counselors, we are on the front lines, both identifying and supporting these students and helping them to process. The items will help us to be better prepared to help our students who struggle with anxiety, depression, self-harm and suicidal ideation. These resources will be used for both group and individual student counseling. Other items such as birthday cards and stickers allow us to make contact with students and create and continue to build rapport by making positive contacts.
