All these materials will be used to target my student's individualized communication goals on their IEPs. By having a variety of resources and materials in my speech therapy room, I will be able to target a variety of communication needs for my students. All these materials will be kept in my speech room to be accessed by my entire caseload. I chose lots of play-based materials since play and language are highly intertwined. Using play-based materials will allow my students to have more authentic and spontaneous language production to help with carryover outside of the speech therapy room. Other materials, such as lamination sheets and velcro were also included in my project since I am always making my students' communication boards to give them access to multimodal communication. This project will help enrich my students' communication skills during speech therapy.
