My students use individual white boards every day in class for math and often for other subjects as well. They work problems out on their white boards as I teach and afterward for guided practice, and this helps me to quickly see who understands and who needs more help. My individual white boards are very old and stained, though! Students learn to love learning by having fun while they learn. They learn science by doing what scientists do, and for that, they need appropriate equipment. They love to use my science tools to explore and discover new things, but I need more tools to use for activities more closely related to the 6th grade core. Finally, I need more tools to use to help my students catch up in Language Arts. I like to use a variety of activities, and these resources will help me with that. Students come with different learning styles and different strengths, and I work hard to teach in different ways to help each child learn the way they learn best.
