My students love stories, they choose to be in my class because of the stories. These books have been searched out and specifically chosen because of perseverance and strength these people, both fictional and historical, portray. Students in my school and classroom know what it is like to have life turned up-side down and they are continuing to go through many hardships. I want these stories to inspire, and motivate my amazing students to continue on through the unknown with a sense of purpose and positivity. These book options give my students opportunities to discuss these themes and topics with their peers in deep and meaningful ways.
