My project has a few needed supplies for our classroom. Last term, I handed my students a quiz where they needed to solve Radioactive Decay problems. They needed calculators to help them work the problems but they could not use their phones this time and I only had about 10 calculators as the Biology teacher was also using calculators in his class. This was a problem in half of my classes! I decided that I need my own classroom set. This donation will help my students save time on their projects and be more prepared for STEM math problems. Layers of the Earth, Ages of the Seafloor, Comic Strips of the Nebula Theory, it all needs to be colored and analyzed. The pencil sharpeners we have have finally worn down and the line is too long for a classroom or group to sharpen their colored pencils. The bulletin board paper is perfect to display their work for the school to see. Lastly, I have included a whiteboard globe. Another teacher suggested this globe to help demonstrate the Coriolis Effect, if it is successful for greater understanding, I might be submitting a new project to supply more for my students to try the demonstration. Making my classroom more hands-on.
