I strive to provide my kindergarten students with books that encourage them to want to read. The choices of fiction and non-fiction titles in their own reading level give them opportunities to learn about new things and explore the world around them. They love books and I want them to be confident in their abilities but also stretch them to take risks to grow to the next reading level. The letter tiles help my small groups and one-on-one students build their fluency with phonics. This project with help enriches their experience to become independent readers.
