The resources that I have requested for my classroom will allow students more hands on learning experiences. Students that can see, feel, and build can make it a more personal learning experience. I have included hands on materials for math, language arts and science. Learning will be very engaging and interactive with the items that I would like to get for my classroom. With so many student so low academically in my class, hands on resources and visually appealing things will help my students see and get involved personally in there own education. Hands on resources would help engage my class that they won't even feel like they are learning and practicing skills because they will be having so much fun. Math flash cards are another hands on tool that I feel my class would benefit greatly from. Having students practice with a partner or using the flashcards in a center rotation will allow my students to refine those skills needed to be successful in 4th grade math. Science will be the most beneficial for my class. Geode kits, rock tumblers, and fossil kits will bring science to life in my classroom. Also, a colored printer will allow students to have colored copies of science material. Colored copies will help my students to have visuals that are more appealing to them instead of black and white copies. It will help them be more engaged and interested in what we are learning in science. These resources will help so much in building understanding and competency in my classroom for my students and they will absolutely love them!
