In a society of overconsumption and overstimulation, a minimalist classroom provides students with clarity and focus on learning. Less is more. I do not strive to make my classroom look Pinterest perfect. Not during this pandemic. Basic school supplies such as folders and notebooks are what is essential to learning as students return to school from distance learning. Some art supplies such as construction paper would go a long way to allow my class to experience hands on arts and crafts. If I have learned anything while teaching during a pandemic, it is to focus on what is essential. Right now, my class needs basic school supplies to get through the year. Donations of any amount would be greatly appreciated!
