This grill will be used for students' food labs experiences. I will teach the safety of handling raw meats and avoiding cross-contamination, as well as using a meat thermometer to check the thickest part of the meat to make sure students understand cooking temperatures. Skills for careers in foods as well. The curriculum for Foods & Nutrition teaches cooking meats and vegetables on a grill is a healthier way to preserve nutrients in vegetables and a good low-fat cooking choice. I can include labs that follow healthy guidelines from Myplate.
