Our school has a unique and incredible 2-acre organic farm that we meet at every single day. We want to spend more time there to enhance our curriculum with botany, ecology, life science, nutrition, and of course experience the healing and healthy effects of nature and beauty. This huge gift from Donors Choose and USBE will allow us to spend whole days at the farm growing, tending, and learning by doing. Having an outdoor classroom means children have space to explore the gifts of nature with the comfort of having a shelter for poor weather. Having an outdoor classroom also means less Covid exposures and less chance of being shut down because we have ample outdoor space to keep kids safe AND at school.
