A positive and clean environment supports learning which is why I'd like to give my students cleaner air, hand sanitizer, and personal protective equipment. Ergonomic solutions in the classroom increase engagement and learning, and this is why I'd like to give my students the opportunity to work standing up. There are always students who will work better sitting, but a good portion of students benefit more from working standing up. Whether it is to keep my exhausted students awake, to give students a chance to change their posture, or to give students the ability to move more without being distracting, using standing desks will improve the whole classroom environment. I'd also like to encourage the use of reusable materials including reusable dry erase pockets. This will reduce the amount of paper being used in the classroom. Some of my students don't have access to notebooks of their own though, so I'd like to get paper for them to use when it is needed in class.
