I have 10 students of varying intellectual disabilities, and many of them struggle with regulating their emotions, understanding the emotions of others, and feeling accepted and wanted amongst their general-education peers. These wonderful social-emotional products(learning kits) and weighted blankets will provide my students with a feeling of comfort and help teach them how to understand their feelings and how to appropriately express them. The books will be perfect for my students as they often do not see themselves represented in media. As a first-year teacher, I have not accumulated many items for my students yet. They deserve so much more than what I currently have. My students will benefit from each and every item from this list, and I appreciate all donations. Thank you so much!
