Many of my students are choosing to learn from home at our online school, due to COVID-19. The transfer from an in-person environment to digital learning is not easy! Students go from working in pairs, reading and writing with physical materials to working independently and reading everything on a screen. This transition can be mentally and physically challenging for students! I think that being able to read an engaging physical text, such as Storyworks, will not only connect them to what they may have been using at their in-person school but will give their minds and eyes a break from engaging with a screen 5-6 hours a day.
