Our world has turned into a more technology-based education. My students use computers daily. The noise level in the classroom gets really loud and some students just can't stay focused with that additional noise of others reading aloud. If my students had earphones with microphones attached, they would be able to record their own voice reading a paragraph and hear what it sounds like so they could self-correct their own mistakes and improve their reading comprehension too. My students are noticeably more engaged in their reading and less disruptive of their peers when they are given a chance to listen to themselves read through their own set headphones.
