Quality education is tied to data. Through this project, each student will be given the opportunity to feel safe and secure in their classroom and testing environment, so that they can provide the data that is needed to properly assess individual student needs. Ultimately, I want the students in my school to be able to feel confident that they have been provided with a clean space that allows for them to be more focused on their academic environment, so that they can provide the best data for their teachers. Desk privacy/sneeze guards will provide each student with an area that will be their own and will allow them to focus on the task at hand, rather on being stressed about getting sick from other students at school. Natural cleaning supplies will help to protect the students, as well as those that are cleaning, because the products with chemicals are harsh. Especially for the teachers and other school employees that are constantly cleaning the surfaces after students use them. Since COVID-19, many students seem to have developed habits from the times that they have learned from home. By providing an option to use a wired mouse, the students will have one less element to adjust to as they get back on track at school. This little item helps to bring down anxieties and provides for an opportunity for a student to focus more data input rather on adjusting to a new mousepad. And to bring it all together, by having a cart to transport and store the desk privacy/sneeze guards, cleaning supplies, and technology options, these products will be readily available for each student.
