Covid has had a huge impact on my school, especially my mild/moderate special education students. I have several students that have lost family members. They have been absent for at least a week and they are overwhelmed with missing assignments when they return. They have a hard time using self-advocacy to tell their teachers what they need. Since they already have learning disabilities that affect their reading and writing, Shakespeare Graphic Novels and Headphones will meet my students' accommodations by enabling them to understand the general education required texts and allow my students that struggle with writing use the headphones with microphones to use speech to text on longer writing assignments.
