Some students really struggled with math during COVID. Students coming in from lower grades often have real gaps in mathematical learning. Graphing calculators can help address some of the visual relationships that need to be understood. I hope to put calculators into the hands of some of my 8th and ninth grade math classes--even be able to send a calculator home if needed. Students will often engage if they can use this technology in addition to all the other materials and online resources. Math is certainly one of our core subjects and getting students up to speed is an important objective.
